Claire Bramwell

Claire Bramwell

Claire is the International and Training Manager for SEND International (part of the Specialist SEND Group), where she leads on headhunting and training specialist staff for schools across the UK and internationally. She is also a Trustee of The SEND Foundation, a charity dedicated to championing special needs and mental wellness—amplifying the voices of young people who are often unheard.

Claire’s believes in building authentic, trusting relationships with young people and the professionals who support them. She believes that being consistent, non-judgmental, and reliable helps others feel safe and heard—and that’s where true connection begins. When young people and our colleagues feel emotionally secure, relationships flourish, confidence grows, and real change happens.

With a diverse background spanning education, charity work, and the arts, Claire brings empathy, creativity, and genuine care into everything she does. Through the Who Am I? workshops that we deliver in schools across the UK, I believe we offer young people a safe space to explore identity, mental health, self-worth, and the pressures they face—from social media to peer relationships—empowering them to say with confidence: “I Am Me.”

As a mum of two sons, Claire brings both personal insight and professional commitment to her work with The Specialist SEND Group and The SEND Foundation—striving to create inclusive environments where every young person feels seen, valued, and able to be their true self.
