How Providing Sensory Input in Learning Environments Supports Calm and Regulation

09 Oct 2026

Children's ability to learn, engage and regulate their emotions is closely linked to their sensory needs. This practical session explores how thoughtfully planned sensory experiences can help children feel calmer, more organised and better able to participate in everyday learning. We will look at the sensory systems, recognise signs that children may need additional sensory support and share simple, achievable strategies that can be embedded into learning environments to promote wellbeing, regulation and positive behaviour.
