Simple Acoustics – Experts in Acoustically Inclusive Environments (Stand B25)
Transforming Learning Spaces through Sound
At Simple Acoustics, cutting-edge innovation meets deep educational expertise to solve one of the most overlooked barriers to learning: classroom noise. The company was founded by Director Greg Dwyer, an industry professional with over 35 years of specialist experience in audiology and educational acoustics.
Greg’s career began in 1990 at PC Werth, a pioneering firm instrumental in manufacturing the UK’s first NHS hearing aids, radio aids, and Soundfield systems for deaf children. An early expert in stereolithography 3D printing for the hearing aid industry, Greg managed laboratories and trained specialists for a decade before transitioning to educational acoustics in 2005. After mastering building acoustic measurements with the Institute of Acoustics (IOA), he spent years on the road identifying a critical gap in the market: schools desperately needed practical, data-driven support to overcome chaotic, noisy environments.
Following the closure of PC Werth, Greg co-founded RGSS in 2018, securing the UK distribution for Lightspeed, the world’s largest Soundfield manufacturer and later launched Simple Acoustics to focus exclusively on delivering acoustic clarity to education.
The Story Behind Our Innovative Pods
The trajectory of Simple Acoustics changed profoundly in 2025. Tasked with helping a young student in a small Nottinghamshire primary school who required a quiet, portable sanctuary during a whole-school upgrade, Greg engineered the very first "Simple Safe Space" pod.
This project sparked a pivotal partnership with the school's then-Headteacher and SENDCo, Helen Roberts. Recognizing a shared vision, Helen joined Simple Acoustics as an educational consultant following her retirement from headship. Together, they have evolved the company’s core philosophy from traditional room acoustics into a fully holistic, inclusive solution provider that directly supports neurodivergence, sensory processing needs, and speech, language, and communication difficulties.
Our Holistic Approach Includes:
- Inclusive Environment Reviews: Evidence-based diagnostic audits of your current spaces to identify acoustic pain points and structural echo.
- Expert Strategic Advice: Tailored recommendations aligned with BB93 acoustic standards, building regulations, and SEND best practices.
- Funding & Budget Guidance: Practical support to help school SLT and Business Managers navigate capital expenditure and grant applications.
- Turnkey Support: End-to-end guidance from initial sound testing through to post-installation validation.
Why Visit Stand B25 at the TES Show?
Acoustics are the invisible foundation of a successful inclusion strategy. Optimizing a school's soundscape directly reduces cognitive fatigue, lowers anxiety, improves behaviour and increases classroom based engagement for all learners.
Visit Stand B25 to step inside our innovative recycled acoustic pods, experience their calming benefits firsthand and speak directly with Greg and Helen about your school's unique structural challenges.
