Tackling Tables

Tackling Tables is an innovative, effective and engaging approach to the teaching and learning of times tables and the inverse.

Created by teachers for teachers and parents - it is effective because it enables students to understand number relationships rather than seeing tables as lists to be learned.

It is this understanding that helps the transition from conceptualisation to rapid retrieval.

Our aim is to help students develop competence and confidence and thereby liberate teachers - enabling them to get on with task of teaching all aspects of maths that depend on students being able to rapidly recall multiplication and division facts.

This resource is available as an online scheme of work and as a fun classroom card game - or as a powerful combination of both. This means that it embraces visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic learning styles - providing every student with their preference for absorbing and retaining information.
