From Me to We: Building a Collectivist Culture Around SEND and Adaptive Teaching

09 Oct 2026
SEND Leadership Summit

Labels are necessary but not sufficient. Diversity meets unity when we focus less on individual labels and more on collective barriers to learning. This session will explore 2 out of 4 ingredients for adaptive teaching to be effective: Culture and curriculum. The aim is to avoid pathologising individuals with additional needs by championing habits of interdependence and inclusive classroom strategy. Let's ensure "SEND" isn't the only way we think about the child.
