Investing in Potential
Investing in Potential: The Impact and Value of Somerset’s Supported Internships is the title of a report by Dr. Victoria Mason-Angelow at NDTi, published in May, which perfectly illustrates the enormous value of preparing young people with SEND for adulthood, not only so they can contribute to society and gain financial reward for a job well done, but more importantly, to support the aspirations and wellbeing of the young people themselves.
The report highlights the focus of Linda Jordan, Senior Adviser, NDTi’s seminar Preparing Young People for Adulthood - The Role of Further Education in which Linda will share the recent history of preparing for adulthood (PFA) and provide guidance on how to recognise and encourage career prospects and aspirations of young people, through supported internships and their benefits. Come along to Linda’s presentation and as a bonus Linda will share how to access NDTi’s free Internship Works project and other free resources available on the NDTi website.
