How do we know our students with SEND are making good progress?
This seminar will illuminate the range of qualitative and quantitative approaches to assessment that school leaders can draw upon to help accurately and holistically monitor the progress pupils with SEND are making. With greater clarity, we can then more confidently and systematically review adaptations and support, particularly for those working below ARE, and ensure our work improves their progress and achievement.
We will consider meaningful and manageable ways to ensure we are ascertaining starting points from which to evaluate progress, across the broad areas of need.
This isn’t just the SENCO’s role, so we will consider the roles and responsibilities of teachers and wider leadership in this endeavour.
