This presentation explores how post-16 education can effectively support neurodivergent learners through age-appropriate, aspirational provision that promotes independence, wellbeing, and meaningful preparation for adulthood. It considers legal and ethical frameworks including the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, The Equality Act alongside the Preparing for Adulthood outcomes of employment, independent living, community inclusion, and health. Offering a guidance on what options exist for post 16 education.
