Pathways and Transitions for Young People with SEND: From Compliance to Culture

10 Oct 2026
Cognition and learning

Too often, careers guidance for young people with SEND and / or additional needs focuses on compliance rather than culture, ticking statutory boxes rather than changing outcomes.
In this session, Toby Connick - Head of Inclusive Careers at Talentino, explores how to embed inclusion at the heart of early career development, transition planning, and employer engagement.
Drawing on national data, lived experience, and 15 years of Talentino’s work with schools and employers, we share practical tools, frameworks, and real-world examples that help schools move from “doing SEND” to achieving real, sustained outcomes for every learner.
