Regulate to Educate: Practical sensory based and trauma informed strategies for mainstream settings.
This seminar, delivered by specialist occupational therapists, will explore how sensory processing, regulation, and trauma intersect within mainstream school environments. Drawing on clinical expertise and real‑world school experience, it will unpack why some pupils become overwhelmed, how sensory and trauma‑related stress responses present in the classroom, and what educators can do to promote felt safety and regulation. The session will cover underlying theoretical principles along with practical approaches and strategies to take away.
