This seminar explores how behaviour can be understood through an evidence-based, functional framework to support sustainable, school-wide inclusion. Drawing on positive behaviour support and practical outreach experience, the session will move beyond reactive approaches toward proactive systems that build skills, supportive environments, and consistent responses across staff teams.

Attendees will examine how behaviour communicates need, how to use simple functional assessment tools, and how reinforcement can strengthen positive outcomes. Practical strategies for both school and home contexts will be shared, alongside guidance on collaborative working with families. The seminar is suitable for educators, SEN professionals, and parents seeking realistic, scalable approaches to inclusive practice.
