Safeguarding SEND - the role of tuition
This presentation will examine the crucial role of tuition in safeguarding children with SEND, including the role of the tutor as central to family support, and how tuition, including Alternative Provision, aligns with the requirements of Keeping Children Safe in Education, Working Together to Safeguard Children and the SEND White Paper.
The presentation will highlight the role of the tutor as a protective factor in a child's life, and examine how tutors and DSLs can work together in terms of information sharing and communication to help all children thrive and grow up in safe care and with effective outcomes.
