The Year of Reading: including every learner
We are enjoying The Year of Reading but what does this mean for those who face one of a range of barriers to reading a book? This wide ranging session will identify both a range of barriers and equally a range of resources and strategies that we can be used to step beyond precision teaching to facilitate the wider aspects of reading successfully. With a clear focus on the use of technology, delegates will work through tried and tested resources that move from low to high tech. Let's support all readers and make reading inclusive!

Settings Targeted: Nursery / pre-school / childminder, School, Alternative provision
SEND Focus: Reading impairment resulting from any cause

- Understand the need for appropriate and effective technology to support access to reading.
- Have knowledge of, and links to, a curated list of technology resources to support reading.
