Autistic girls often fly under the radar at school. Many struggle in class and at school are not seen by school staff who may think they are 'Fine in School'. Girls are less likely to be identified, diagnosed and supported than boys. Without a supported environment, girls will mask their difficulties with a profound impact on their academic performance, school attendance and mental health. In this seminar Sarah-Jane will share how to interpret how autistic girls present, from an insider perspective; specific issues they face and explore specific curriculum ideas to reduce their vulnerability.
