Identifying and supporting children and young people with PDA.

This session will give delegates a thorough understanding of PDA and the impact of PDA on individuals.  It will cover the anxiety that individuals with PDA experience and also explain the need for autonomy that they have.

The session will cover effective approaches that professionals, parents and carers can use to effectively support individuals with PDA in both learning and  home settings.   

Learning outcomes:

•    Understanding what PDA is
•    Understanding the impact that PDA has on individuals, and their anxiety driven need for autonomy
•    Identifying effective approaches to support individuals with PDA in a range of settings.
