Inclusive maths for secondary settings

This session will look at the pedagogical and curriculum aspects of creating an inclusive maths department and maths classrooms in secondary settings. It will consider what inclusion means and the development of the structures and supports to develop inclusive practice across a maths department. There will be opportunities to view many practical ideas and resources to support inclusive teaching and learning.'

The session will focus on creating a curriculum for all with scaffolding for those with or without identified needs, how teachers can structure lessons and the environment to create an inclusive atmosphere, and how AI can support learners to address key gaps in skills and knowledge. Suitable for maths leads, SENCOs and maths teachers at secondary and FE settings.
