Navigating and Supporting Neurodiversity and Neurodivergence

This presentation will outline a range of systems and strategies to successfully support proactive Neuroinclusive practice in schools and colleges. Areas we will cover include demystifying a range of key Neurodivergent terms including ADHD, ASC and SpLD and understanding and Supporting Executive Functioning in learning behaviour. We will introduce and outline how the SF3R approach can provide a platform for successful Neuroinclusive practice. 

By the end of this session you should be able to:
•    Develop structures in outlining key expectations, routines and rituals             
•    Provide a range of flexible strategies for both classroom and non –classroom situations    
•    Encourage rapport in terms of effective communication and dealing with a range of issues including distraction, inflexibility and frustration.
•    Consider relationships in socialisation issues and developing positive peer to peer interaction
•    Maintain resilience in terms of transition points and wellbeing
