Neurodiversity In The Early Years: What does it look like and how can I provide support?
We will explore the differences in development, play and behavioural responses in neurodivergent children in their early years. You will learn the impact of the environment, transitions and expectations on our children who see and navigate the world differently. And we will discuss why and how you can become neurodiversity affirming and provide safety and connection for children and families at the start of their SEND journey.
By the end of this session, you should be able to:
- Understand the importance of being a curious educator
- See children through a neurodiversity affirming lens
- Learn strategies of support that can reduce overwhelm and meltdown
