How race plays a part in the diagnosis of black and mixed-heritage autistic girls and women and how to ensure needs aren't missed

This session explores the identification of autism in Black and mixed-heritage women and girls, and some of the barriers to diagnosis. It highlights how autism impacts women and girls, and people of Black heritage, before focusing specifically on the complexity of being autistic, Black and female. It concludes by exploring the school experience of Black autistic girls, including those without a formal diagnosis, and detailing strategies to support them.'
