How to understand and approach the rising failure to thrive in children and teenagers
Over the last decade we have seen an increase in children and teenagers who do not thrive. More and more children and teenagers suffer from depression, anxiety and there has been a rise in school refusal, conduct issues and reports of self-harm for this group. These are worrying statistics and both schools, professionals and parents must act to address this problem. We will present our understanding and approach to beginning to resolve this issue.
By the end of this session, you should be able to understand:
• A multidimensional understanding of failure to thrive
