Progressive Realisation of inclusive values through whole school practice
This presentation explores frameworks that support the progressive realisation of inclusive values through whole-school practice. Drawing on Carr Manor Community School’s story, it highlights the professional tension between SEND, safeguarding, and inclusion, emphasising a shift from labels to meeting needs. Leaders will reflect on their own journey, consider small group pastoral structures and explore how these develop relational accountability networks and deepen adult–pupil connections through dynamic interactions.
Learning outcomes:
• Reflect on their own journey toward inclusive cultures
• Understand an example of a distributed network of relational accountability
• Imagine alternative small group pastoral structures to meet pupil need
• Understand a model for integrating SEND/Safeguarding/Inclusion
