Introducing PACT to education – Paediatric Autistic Communication Therapy for Educators (PACT-E)

A brief overview of the original, clinical PACT approach, including its scientific, evidence-base will be provided. A new application of PACT principles will be presented to explain how it can be incorporated within educational settings both as a whole-school approach and as a targeted intervention for individual students. A newly developed eLearning for educators will be introduced, including feedback provided by schools that have trialled the PACT-E eLearning.

Target Audience: SENCO’s / Leaders ,Practitioners / Support staff, Local Authority Staff 

Setting targeted:  Nursery / pre-school / childminder, School, Alternative Provision

Age / Key Stage(s) presentation will support: 

Professionals working with children aged 2-11 years who show differences in their language and communication behaviours. This includes those who have received an autism diagnosis and those where assessment is being considered/awaited.
