Caroline McCallum
Caroline worked as a children’s Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) in London for almost fifteen years, with experience across the NHS, Local Authorities and Independent Practice. Her experience has included working in mainstream and special primary and secondary schools, with a clinical specialism in Autism.
As co-founder of Verbo, Caroline collaborated with Blum Health Ltd. to successfully secure four grants, resulting in the development of Verbo.
Verbo is an award-winning online speech and language therapy toolkit that provides educators and SaLTs instant access to screening, interventions, activities and training resources to support children and young people with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), aged from two to young adulthood. Responding to the nationwide shortfall of SaLTs, the platform aims to build capacity and increase efficiencies for therapists.
Caroline’s vision is to reduce the health inequalities within SLCN support so that all children and young people can maximise their communication potential.
