Having previously worked in private industry, Damian has been a teacher for over 18 years, 11 of them in a senior leadership role.  Whilst working as a senior leader in an outstanding school, He was seconded to The Marvell College as Deputy Headteacher and played a key role in helping the school improve from special measures to good.  The first time there has ever been a school rated good on the site.  He was appointed Headteacher in September 2024.  Damian has a wide range of experience in managing system and culture change and has supported a wholesale review of practice and attitudes in relation to SEND in the school over the last 3 years.
