Dr Laura Porter
Dr Laura Porter joined Hogrefe in April 2026 as a Clinical Assessment Psychologist, bringing understanding and experience of supporting individuals within UK health and education services.
Laura qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2020 and worked in NHS CAMHS as part of a multi-disciplinary team. She provided assessment, intervention and system-wide consultation (and so much more!). Following additional specialist training in the ADOS-2 and ADI-R, she regularly conducts neurodevelopmental assessments and provides post-diagnostic support for children and families.
In addition to her clinical knowledge and experience, Laura has a passion for supporting children and young people to reach their potential and thrive in life. Her professional interests include children's social, emotional and mental wellbeing, neurodevelopmental assessment, and systemic approaches to care. Laura is motivated to improve understanding and support for young people through research and by developing and implementing evidence-based practice.
