Ella Savell-Boss
We are excited to introduce Ella, a qualified BACP accredited person-centred and gestalt therapist and NSPCC accredited safeguarding trainer. Ella provides safeguarding and child protection training and consultancy to organisations both nationally and internationally. With over 20 years of experience within safeguarding and education, she delivers innovative, engaging, and up-to-date training sessions on a variety of subjects. Ella supports clients with safeguarding reviews, supervision, policy writing, support and training.
Ella's background in counselling aids her ability to effectively support organisations with wellbeing, mental health support, and supervision for staff, children, and families. Her extensive qualifications and accreditations include being an International Safeguarding Trainer, Conference Chair, Keynote Speaker, Home Office Approved Prevent Trainer, and Mental Health First Aid Trained, among others.
With over 20 years of experience as a BACP Accredited person-centred and gestalt counsellor, Ella has worked with MIND mental health charity supporting clients. She has also held various positions within the education sector, including Director of Safeguarding for a large Multi Academy Trust, Children's Services Manager, Extended Schools Manager, and Safeguarding Manager for six academies.
Ella's experience includes managing child protection, child in need, and early help cases, attending strategy meetings, working closely with Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hubs (MASH), and leading on Sandwell Stopping Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) for education. She has also dealt with some of the most complex and challenging cases, such as forced marriage, incestuous child abuse, sexual abuse, and domestic abuse, among others.
Ella's approach is practical and focused on delivering support that enables professionals to safeguard vulnerable children and families and achieve positive outcomes for all. Ella has supported a number of schools with providing safeguarding reviews to scrutinise practice and provide action plans and further support to enhance the safeguarding offering.
Ella has worked providing safeguarding training and support in Singapore, Cyprus, Luxemburg, The Netherlands, and Switzerland. Ella has a keen interest in learning about the organisation, community and setting and then ensuring a bespoke offering of training, audits and support.
