Helen Ewumi is the Founder of Obimi CIC, an award-winning community organisation supporting parents and caregivers of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). She is a qualified Social Worker with over 13 years’ experience across education, health and social care.
An Empowerment Award winner (Community Group of the Year), Helen combines professional expertise with lived experience as a dyslexic individual and a mother of neurodivergent children. Her work focuses on making SEND systems more accessible and supporting families to navigate processes such as EHCPs and education provision.
Helen is passionate about strengthening partnerships between families and professionals. She delivers workshops and events that equip parents with practical knowledge, confidence and support—particularly within underrepresented communities.
