I am a dedicated mother to two beautiful daughters, one of whom was born with CHARGE syndrome, a rare condition that has significantly shaped our family's journey.
With a commitment to advocacy & inclusion, my experience has inspired me to promote sign language, especially after my daughter, who is deaf & non-verbal until the age of four, began her own journey in communication.
As the founder of Eliza Says, I am a qualified Level 6 British Sign Language (BSL) practitioner who works within educational settings, empowering staff to learn & implement sign language & Deaf awareness in their interactions. I have had the privilege of providing support to numerous organizations, including the NHS, Specsavers, charities, hospices, prisons, hotels & SEND groups. My efforts to enhance communication & understanding have been recognized through various accolades, including being honoured as Rochdale's Women of the Year 2024.
With a passion for education & inclusivity, I strive to create a more accessible environment for all children, ensuring that every voice, regardless of ability, is heard.
