Mark is currently the Director of Education of Lingfield Education Trust, a Trust with 25 primary schools spanning north east England. Joining the Trust in 2018 as an executive headteacher and school improvement lead, Mark was the founding head of the Trust’s free school, Cambrai Primary School. Cambrai was judged outstanding in all areas at its first OFSTED inspection in 2024. Mark has been headteacher of two schools, both with resource bases for children with SEND and now supports schools within the Trust and beyond in their school improvement journeys. Within his role, Mark is also strategic lead for SEND and safeguarding and as such, has authored the Trust Strategic SEND Framework, which has brought together the best of practices from within the Trust and beyond to create a cohesive and consistent approach to working with the most vulnerable children within the family Trust of schools.
