Rachel Berry
Rachel Berry has over 15 years of experience in the education sector and is a dedicated teacher specialising in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). She currently works as a specialist teacher with Woodbridge SEND Service, supporting the inclusion of learners across Bolton and beyond. Her team provides expert guidance to children and young people aged 2 to 19, ensuring every pupil, regardless of their challenges, has access to high-quality education.
Throughout her career, Rachel has held key leadership roles, including as an Assistant Headteacher, Early years Lead and long-serving SENCo, developing extensive expertise in SEND provision and inclusive strategies. She also serves as a course facilitator for the National Institute of Teaching, delivering the National Professional Qualification (NPQ) for Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCos).
In addition, Rachel leads initiatives in symbol-supported communication through the partnership with Widgit software. As part of an accredited Symbol Friendly Organisation, she is committed to enhancing communication accessibility for all learners. Rachel is passionate about making a meaningful impact in education, continually learning, and sharing knowledge to support teachers and learners alike.
