Rob Webster
Rob Webster is co-coordinator of the national SEN Policy Research Forum. He is an internationally-recognised expert on teaching assistants (TAs). He has worked on some of the most influential research projects on inclusion and SEND of recent years, including being a key member of the team that conducted the world’s largest research study of TA deployment and impact. He also led the UK’s largest study of the everyday school experiences of pupils with SEND — the results of which are captured in his latest book, The Inclusion Illusion, which is free to download via UCL Press. Rob created the award-winning Maximising the Impact of Teaching Assistants programme, which has been accessed by thousands of UK schools. His most recent research has included a project to pilot and evaluate innovative approaches to making public dialogues (e.g. citizens' assemblies) more inclusive for young people with SEND. Rob is also an occasional contributor to Tes.
