Headteacher, Limpsfield Grange School

Since 2012 Sarah has been Headteacher of Limpsfield Grange, an outstanding maintained residential special school. Limpsfield Grange is unique; it is the UKs only school for autistic girls. During her tenure at Limpsfield Grange Sarah has led the school through 3 outstanding Ofsted inspections (2024; 2018; 2013) and 11 consecutive outstanding residential Ofsted judgements (2013 – 2025).

During Sarah’s Headship, she has worked to raise awareness of female autism, and to promote neurodiversity on the international stage. Sarah has worked with a wide range of academics and organisations globally to develop research and understanding of female autism; she has contributed to published works; has spoken at national and international conferences and worked with the media. Under Sarah’s leadership, Limpsfield Grange has become an international centre of excellence for the education of autistic girls.

In addition to her role as Headteacher of Limpsfield Grange School, Sarah also lead the highly successful Secondary Autism Outreach for Schools service, which provides autism outreach to all 52 secondary schools across Surrey.

Sarah was appointed a Trustee of the Bourne Academy Trust in 2023, a mixed phase and sector MAT operating across Surrey, Hampshire and South London.
