Sharon worked in children’s Occupational Therapy services for 27 years, both in the NHS and the Children’s Trust. Ten of those years have been at Hackney Ark, where she managed the service before taking up a post leading across children’s therapies. She has worked for the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT) as a Professional Advisor and was Chair of the RCOT Specialist Section for Children, Young People and Families.

Sharon is currently Trustee of the Casson Trust and has been Vice Chair of the RCOT. She was Chair of the Professional Executive Committee, and Board member, at City and Hackney Primary Care Trust.

Sharon is passionate about improving access to support for children in order to improve their participation and occupation; as well as her current work in Hackney (including with Verbo’s team), Sharon is working for Better Communication Community Interest Company, supporting service transformation in teams across England.
