Stephanie Camilleri - Empower ADHD Limited

Stephanie Camilleri

Director, Empower ADHD Limited

Stephanie Camilleri is one of the UK’s leading ADHD coaches, founder of The ADHD Advocate and Empower ADHD. A certified ADHD coach, Stephanie supports students, families, schools and universities to understand ADHD through a strengths-based lens and develop practical strategies that work with the ADHD brain, not against it.

In this session, Stephanie explores how schools can better prepare students with ADHD for the transition from GCSEs and A Levels into university life. Getting into university is only part of the story. For many ADHD students, the real challenge begins when the structure, accountability and support of school suddenly disappear.

Drawing on years of coaching ADHD students through university, Stephanie will highlight the ADHD challenges that can compromise success, including rejection sensitivity dysphoria, time blindness, procrastination, perfectionism and overwhelm. She will share practical ways schools can help students build self-advocacy, confidence, a mindset of interdependence (versus independence) and ADHD-friendly systems before they leave sixth form.

This talk will help educators, SENCOs and support teams understand why university success starts long before Results Day - and how early, ADHD-informed support can help talented students access and thrive at the university of their choice.
