Tara Dodson is the co-author of Essential Letters and Sounds, a DfE-validated phonics programme rooted in research, best practice and getting all children to read well quickly. She has taught in Primary schools across London leading reading, and was the Hub Lead for a DfE English Hub. She now leads the training for Essential Letters and Sounds. The design of ELS reflects both her belief that every child deserves to learn how to read, and her determination to make this simple for teachers and children alike
