Zoë Wilson
I am the Executive Assistant and Parent Lead for OCD-UK. OCD-UK is a service user led charity, which means everyone within the organisation has lived experience of OCD, whether that be directly or through a close loved one.
My main role within the charity is to support and educate parents who have children with OCD through our funded parent project.
My expertise knowledge on OCD comes from my own lived experiences with the condition, as well as the work I do professionally through the charity on a day-to-day basis. I have worked closely with OCD specialists from the Oxford Health Specialist Psychological Intervention Centre, and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
I have co-produced a qualitative research study, 'Understanding the support needs of parents of children with obsessive-compulsive disorder: a qualitative descriptive study in the UK' (03 May 2023) and in October 2022 I became a published author to the book ‘FAQs on OCD’.
